Having just discovered a mysterious new planet, The Space Agency recruits Ham as an astronaut, more for the publicity value than for his "right stuff". Ham is plucked out of his circus life and put through astronaut training, but spends most of his time goofing around, much to the chagrin of his fellow astronauts, the "right stuff" LUNA - whom Ham has a crush on - and the cavalier and egomaniacal TITAN.
